Oct 14, 2012 I have a nice, older hot tub, a Beachcomber 530. About 12 years old. It uses the Beachcomber Digital 2000 management system, which is actually the Balboa 2500ES system. It recently stopped heating. I have determined that the heater relay, RL2, isn't pulling in, which is what sends the 240v down to the heater element. If I manually force RL2 in, I do get 240v to the heater.

The USC spa pack is equipped with a 5500W (5.5kW), 4000W (4kW), or 3000W (3kW) spa heater. The USC hot tub heater is protected by a reliable pressure switch and two digital temperature sensors.
